Ronnie and I have really been through the fire the last few months financially, physically and emotionally, and seem to continue asking God why, when is enough, enough?
Here are two people who try to do whats right, love the Lord with all their heart, give back through our ministry, and to others all the while falling short daily. But wow, we still get bombarded with our share of problems. Bringing us to the question “Why do bad things happen to good people” it is then that we have to remember that being a Christian is not going to be easy. He never said it would be easy, He said it would be worth it. People always blame God when something goes wrong in their life, when it is actually Satan doing these things to us, our family and our friends. We need to get to the point where we can grasp the fact of whats going on in our lives and start to trust Him realizing, He is working behind the scenes on your situation at this very minute. Knowing in our whole being, He must have a huge plan for us. Satan is trying to discourage us, making us feel unworthy of anything or anybody. I am sure you have all been there at some point in your lives. While going through these rough patches the testimony we have, could be ruined if we react the wrong way. So, here is a scripture for you to hang on to when going through trials of any kind.
2nd Corinthians 1:3 All praise to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source to all comfort.
4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
I believe just that, He allows us to go through certain things in our life in order to help us help others when they are struggling with the same thing. I ask God while I am going through a rough time, show me what it is you want me to learn, and how to use it for your glory.
A friend of mine her name is Amy shared this with our small group class and It was so profound I hang on to it every day, hopefully it will help you to do the same.
What can you do to show Jesus by example in your every day life and in all your affairs?
1. Live intentionally
2. Live in the moment
3. Listen
4. Measure my words
5. Apologize Quickly
6. Forgive Quickly
7. Nurture my relationship with God in Bible reading and prayer every day.
Lets all try to do this list everyday so we can live with intention, and in Gods perfect purpose for our lives. Sometimes He says Yes, No, Maybe, and Wait. We just have to know whatever the answer is that we are getting right now, that God is already working behind the scenes. Just trust Him my friend.
